I'm trying to get Google's street view working on my iPad in Safari but it never shows the little man to go into street view mode. I've tried the iCurtain browser and that shows the street view man but crashes before it gets into street view.
I'm in the UK and bought the device (wi-fi only 16GB) a couple of days ago. I'm definitely viewing street view areas and I've tried rebooting and updating but still no joy. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for the quick replies! Having struggled with this for a while, I've just come across the answer. The street view is available from the in-built map app and not Google maps via the browser as you both rightly said. What I needed to do was to drop a pin where I wanted to view then tap the pin. Tap the 'i' on the pop-up box and then (the bit I'd missed!) I needed to tap the photo of the location I'd selected to go into street view.
You are able to use street view in the built-in Maps app.
You can drop a pin or search for an address and anywhere street view is available the little man will appear on the pin-tag.
