Page not viewable in Safari

Ok, I know that isn't earth shattering as a topic, but it gets weird.

First off, the page is a simple blogger page found at http://www.catalogueofships.com

Second, the page does appear in Foxfire (also, not earth shattering news, I know)

But here is the weird part. Immediately after I load it in Foxfire, it works in Safari for a limited time. Can anyone make heads or tails of that?

Also, this just started yesterday. No problems before. I did no upgrades to my computer or software this week.

My guess, based on the results of putting the page through the W3C Validator, that the problem is a combination of bad coding and using non-standard extensions. Safari is the least forgiving of browsers when it comes to pages with bad, incorrect, or non-standard coding. The W3C's own browser/editing tool, Amaya, also won't display the page.

Ok, now I'm trying to load Joel's page, and I have EXACTLY the same problem. I just get a blank page,

OK, I loaded his page in Firefox first because that is what I am using right now, and then I loaded in Safari, so I don't know if it would have loaded in Safari if I tried it first. However, the only problem I, myself, had was using Adblock in Firefox.

I'm having the same problem listed above. It seems to be the same whether my domain is set to "forward" or to "forward with mask".

The site in question works fine when the direct address is used:
http://www.joryraphael.com/wllmshkspr/index.html

But when the forwarded domain: http://www.wllmshkspr.com is used, it loads with a blank page.

Also like above, the page will load after I run it in Firefox. I'm using Safari Version 2.0.2 (416.12) in 10.4.3.

Any further ideas?

I have to take back what I said about the masking. My page isn't working again.

I still haven't worked out all the other bugs, though. So I'll keep going.

Just out of curiosity, are you (and you too Joel) using godaddy? I just want to know if we all have some commonality besides forwarding that we could look at.

I am indeed using GoDaddy. Already had a response from their tech support saying it wasn't an issue with them. I'll try again with the updated information.

Same problem here.

I am NOT using GoDaddy so I don't think it is a problem with them.

The latter passes W3C validator with flying colours, but the domain at godaddy comes up with 10 errors

What I don't understand is why my sites ran ok for about a year and all of a sudden they cannot be forwarded to a .mac address. Was the backend of .mac upgraded or altered recently?

I don't think it's an issue with .mac. My site is hosted elswhere and has been working (with forwarding) for quite some time. It seems to be a Safari-specific problem. Don't know if the recent Java update has something to do with it or not, but I do remember my site working fine before it was installed.

I'm with GoDaddy...and I get a blank page using Safari...have not tried anything else...folks at GoDaddy want me to do a trace...and don't know how to tell me to do a trace...they can see my page fine...I went to the local Apple Store...tried their machines...also blank (with Safari)...will try another browswer here pretty soon...
