Extra long iPad charging cable.

A good quality usb extension cable should do the job in conjuction with the cable Apple ships with the iPad. At least it does for me.

The cheapest option is to use a mains extension cable - 3m for around £2-3! That's what I use.

How long is the cord that's INCLUDED with the iPad?
I know the additional one you can order is 6 Feet.
Is the one included the same?

You can get a 10 foot extension cord at Home Depot for 4.99.

You don't. All you get is a power plug and the USB connector cable which is not very long. It's the same one that comes with the iPhone.

I own several of the ones from monoprice and other 3rd party makers (cable junkie). I think there must be significant current loss in those cables because they either don't work or charge very slowly. Of the 10 rooters I got from monoprice, only 1 registers as charging on my ipad but over night it only charged about 15%. The others won't charge at all. I think that's why apple doesn't sell long sync cables. Instead, their solution is a long ac cord that runs to the power block with a short sync cable.

Funny thing is I know it's physically possible to have a long sync cable. If you look in te windows of an apple store, the ipad is displayed on a stand and the sync cable is curled on the floor, must be over 10 feet in length. I ask at every store and no one knows where it came from or how to get one. 😟
