How to put the Desktop icon back on the Finder's sidebar?

I dragged the Desktop icon off the Finder sidebar, how to restore it?
I know how to put other icons on the sidebar, but where to find the Finder's icon to drag it to the sidebar?

Just go to Finder on your menu bar > Preferences > Sidebar and checkmark it.
Wait! The Finder icon? That isn't normally present in the Sidebar...

But it resides in /System/Library/CoreServices/Finder.app.
EDIT: If you want the Desktop, follow my crossed out instructions
