Digital Noise then typing in TextEdit and Journler

At every keystoke I type in TextEdit and in the application Journler I can sometimes hear a quiet noise (sounds like very young bird calling for food far far away)

It is a very annoyning problem, and I have tried almost evrything to get rid of the sound - but until now without luck.

The sound doesn't disappear then I mute the speakers - and It's not a mecanical sound - but digital.

Any advice is appreciated. Thank you

Same problem here. Went to an Apple Store and they told me I should uncheck the use click key sounds in the Universal Access panel, which I never checked in the first place... I unchecked all the stuff in the Universal Access Panel the moment I received my PowerBook about a year ago. This strange sound started about a few months ago. Could it be some bug in one of the recent updates?
