Text Wrapping Folder's/ Files Text?

My friend used my mac yesterday and suddenly all of my text under folders and files is unwrapped. it used to always automatically be wrapped or justified left, and now when renaming a folder it doesn't wrap at all. I am viewing in icon view and it was always fine before. How do i get my text to be like it was when naming a file or folder in finder?

Macbook, Mac OS X (10.6.3)

This in the Terminal should do the trick.Type in the command, hit the return key, and quit the Terminal:

*FXMaximumLabelLines XXX*

where XXX is an integer value. On my machine, I have it set to 2. Whether or not you can have a value greater than 2 is left as an exercise. After quitting the Terminal, OPTION-click and hold the Finder's Dock icon and select Relaunch.

I have checked all the view options, grid etc and attempted to retype the folder names, recreate them etc and nothing has helped, i will attempt to upload a screenshot somewhere for you, as i understand it is hard to explain. Basically all the folders will sort aligned but the text labels beneath seem to be justified from centre leaving folders lined up and labels terribly all over the place too far left etc. Is it possible that if he deleted something accidentally in a Ds Store or Library file that this could have happened?
