Q: Home movie (.mov) won't transfer to iPad ??

I have copied a home movie (.mov format) from my Movies folder to Movies in iTunes and selected it to sync to my iPad. I get a message saying it has not synced across because it cannot play on iPad. Why is this? What do I need to do?

Mac OS X (10.6)

I'm having the same problem, and from reading the thread above it looks like this is one for the apple feedback page.

but i have to agree with RBS above.. what I am trying to do is what apple want me to do, and it doesn't work!

i film videos, using my iPhone5.

i plug my iPhone5 into my new Imac and sync it.

    The movies appear in iPhoto.

One of my smart albums automatically includes any photos or movies taken in the last month.

I unplug my iPhone and plug in my old iPad (and sync it).

The smart album syncs with my iPad but I get an error message saying some of the movies cannot be copied across because "they cannot be played on this iPad".

the ones filmed on an iPhone 4s will play, the ones made on an iPhone 5 won't.

not much of an 'upgrade'....   :-/
