Netflix app stuck on opening red screen

I've been using the Netflix app with no problems. I also stream video from the ABC player and YouTube. Two days ago, Netflix stopped at the opening logo screen and went no further. The machine did into lock up and I am still streaming from ABC and YouTube. Suggestion?

iPad, iPhone OS 3.1.2, Wifi + 3G 64GB

Sorry, I don't fully understand this statement but try resetting your iPad by pressing the home and sleep buttons until you see the Apple logo, ignoring the slider. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings.

I am on an iPad, so it is that app I am talking about. When you press the button to launch the app, the netflix logo screen (which is red) takes over the screen. You then see the progress wheel and the normal behavior is to go to the iPad version of your Instant Queue. I see the progress wheel and then nothing happens and the program hangs (but does not exit) at the red, logo screen. It does NOT lock up the iPad, as I can exit out to the Finder and use other apps.

I have tried rebooting and it did it change this behavior.

Hope this explanation is more clear.
