Problem: 'plug-in "Voice" not available'

Hello Everybody!
Yesterday I installed Logic Express 9 on my iMac. I'm having some problems with the Software Instruments. When I choose (in the Library) "Keyboards -> Warped Mallet -> Shifting Marimba" I get an error: 'Logic Express: Plug-In "Tuned_Perc" not available'. After this the Instrument Slot says "Tuned_Perc", with a diagonal line through it.

Today, after installing JamPack "World Music", I get a similar error when choosing "Jam Pack World Music -> Choir -> African Voice ->", and then either "African Voice Echoes", "South African Singers" or "South African Voice Effects". The message I then get is : 'Logic Express: Plug-In "Voice" not available'.

I already contacted Apple-support, but then couldn't help me. They gave me the advice to reinstall Logic Express, which I did. But unfortunately this didn't solve the problem.

Hope anybody can help me!

Hi,

I have exactly the same problem. The instruments and loops work fine in Garageband but don't in Logic Express, whether they are part of a song that is imported or on their own. Only certain instruments have problems (such as mentioned). I often take a loop and use the instrument that it was created with and not the loop itself. These instruments don't always work in Garageband although technically, they should. I have reinstalled both Logic and Jam Packs to no avail.

I have found that by going into the EXS24 sampler and clicking on the instrument drop down list you can get to most of the available instruments. But they are not the same as the Jam pack versions.

I look forward to any help in this matter as well.

I found the plug-in "Tuned_Perc", it is included with the "Symphony Orchestra" JamPack. Yesterday I also ordered the "Voices" JamPack, I hope that it will also contain the "Voice" plug-in. It should be delivered in a couple of days.

Yes, I also found that I could access a lot (but not all) of the software instruments by using the EX24-plugin.

I'll let you know if I know more about the "Voice" plug-in.

Yep, the plug-in "Voice" is included with the Voices JamPack. The problem is solved 🙂
