Mouse lag with Logitech VX Nano laser (USB)

I have a problem with mouse lag using the vx nano wireless mouse that connects with an usb dongle.

The mouse cursor seems fine, until the macbook starts accessing the harddrive or something. Then the mouse cursor starts to lag. This is only with this particular mouse. If i jack in a wired mouse there is no lag and the touchpad works fine.

So it seems the usb wireless mouse conflicts with the harddrive access somehow. This is very annoying. Is there a solution for this somehow?
