Some of my album art on my iPod is the wrong album cover. It is correct in iTunes. It is primarily the purchased songs. I reset the iPod but nothing changed. Any ideas?
I noticed that within itunes you can attach more than one Album Art image and later on select the one which you want to have displayed via "Get Info".
Maybe you have selected a different (the correct) one within iTunes (which probably isn't the first in the list) and is only one album art image (the first one?) transferred to the iPod.
Don't know whether it's true, it's just a theory based on the fact that I accidentally added the wrong album art to a couple of songs and noticed that it was possible to add multiple pictures to one song.
as mentioned in other posts: when you plug in the ipod, uncheck in the ipod preferences in itunes the box "show cover art on ipod". umount the ipod. plug in again an check that box again.
it rebuilds the art work library on your ipod. worked on my configuration.
If you auto-update, just uncheck "show album artwork," click okay and then update and then check "show album artwork" again. It was wierd, i was using my av cable to a 52 incher and when i was holding my ipod, it was like the back was kind of vibrateing or something? but anyways i was listening to the songs b4 i plugged it in and it was fine, right artwork and all, but oncei plugged it in with the av cable and then unplugged it, the albums were all messed up. It didn't freeze the iPod or anything. The albums just sort of jumped from differents songs.
Well, I guess I'm glad that someone figured out a way to fix this without reloading the entire music directory.
...too bad it still takes like 20 minutes to "optimize artwork".
This has happened to me like 3 times now, and its getting pretty annoying--wish Apple would address this seemingly simple to solve issue so that I won't have to restore my artwork ever other week.
