How do I restore my Mac to factory specs?

Can someone please advise the best way to wipe an iMac G4 clean? Should I reinstall the original disks that came with it? Will that 100% erase all personal data?

I bought a new iMac and need to sell my old.

HI Alex,

You can use your iMac G4 install disc(s) to erase the drive then reinstall the Mac OS X.

Yes.

No. It won't. It's a start though.
You would need to zero out the drive to absolutely erase all personal data.
