Labels for Pie Chart

I see labels in one of the templates, but I cannot figure out how to get them on my chart.

I have column A with the labels and column D with the numbers.

Easily doable if you have your table set up properly, you should have your column A as a header column. When you add the chart it says to double tap to edit ranges for the data, double tap, then select the actual data, not the labels column A. Select the data in D. The program already knows to use the header column as labels.

Then use the steps I outlined previously to set the data labels up properly.

Thank you so much. That worked great. I have an additional twist. Labels in header column - A. Data in column D. In column B, is the ownership (Husband, Wife, Joint). Column A was the name of assets. I want one table to show a pie chart showing the value of each asset. I want a second pie chart showing ownership. Each column A item is unique. Column B (ownership) may repeat.

That's going to be tougher. Mihgt I suggest just another table? Don't forget that it's perfectly legal to break up your data and use lookups or other reference formulas to "pull it back together" for a summary table. Makes charts far easier to handle.

I would have to get my hands on sample data and a mockup of what you want to see to know if it could be done.
