Q: Media player codec

I am running Bootcamp with Windows Vista Home Basic Service Pack 2 and Media player is 11.0.6002.1811. I really hate to discuss Windows on this forum, but I need to run AutoCad. When I use AutoCad, I sometimes like to watch a DVD movie. But Media Player won't work [said maybe decrease screen resolution: nope]; I've installed the appropriate codec [what a dumb idea, to need or have to buy a cedec!], I've installed other supposedly other good media players [such as GOM player]. None work. Of course, on the MAC side, all is good. Any suggestions?

Then try a Windows forum, as this forum is for troubleshooting Apple Software Update for Windows, a software package for Windows designed to update Apple products that run on Windows, and not related to your question.
