Certain Website won't work on safari

The website called www.ps3trophycard.com has stopped working for me around 2 weeks ago. The website isn't down but Safari tells me it can't find the server etc. For some reason I can only use the site via proxy. Also when Im on forums I can't see the trophy cards etc. How do I fix this?

iMac, Mac OS X (10.6.3)

Done that and still no success. I found out though I can access the website via proxy. Any other ideas?

You say Safari, but what happens if you download Firefox and try that?

It sounds more like something isn't providing DNS service for your network properly, perhaps a wireless router or a cable or DSL modem.

No still not working. It says "The connection has timed out. The server at ps3trophycard.com is taking too long to respond."

In that case, something, most likely a third party add-on, is blocking the connection or is slowing it down.

Don't think so, only third party add-on I have that I know of is iStats and I disabled that and its still not working. Also I can access the website via proxy but not normally?

If you can access the site via a proxy but not via a "clear" connection, there's an issue with your non-proxy connection.

Either your ISP is having issues, or there's another issue such as an IPv6 or 6to4 routing problem.

Have you tried shutting off IPv6 in your Network preferences, and does that change the behavior you see?

Tried shutting of IPv6 just then and I don't notice anything different.

I just updated several softwares (itunes, safari, etc) and now I can not stream my local NPR station nor see/use my son's protropica.com website......is this something that an ADOBE Reader update will cure?

Make a new thread then.
