Cursor wont move

My Apple wireless mouse (original model) does everything except move the cursor. It is paired and connected with rapid blinking. If I place the cursor over a folder with my normal mouse and double click the wireless mouse, the folder will open. It just refuses to move the cursor. I need an idea. I did trash the bluetooth plist, no difference. I even restarted the computer. It's been working fine until tonight.
