iPad sync isn't transferring new purchased app from itunes on PC to iPad

I just bought a new app - really the first purchased one. I logged into itunes using my desktop computer, and had redeemed some lala.com credits into my itunes account. The app I bought is MyNetDiary and downloaded to my desktop. I plugged in my iPad to sync and have tried it quite a few times. the new APP is not making its way onto the ipad which is where I obviously wish to use the new app.

Any ideas? Is there anyway to download purchased apps to my ipad direct from itunes? I don't see my new purchased app in the purchased category.

Also one other question - I downloaded a couple of free apps on my ipad that I want to delete now. I deleted from my desktop computer and figured it would sync, but doesn't seem to be matching the apps from my personal computer to the ipad.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

thanks!

To confirm, you have Sync Apps selected under the Apps tab for your iPad sync preferences with iTunes and the app you downloaded with iTunes is selected under the Apps tab for your iPad sync preferences?

If so, any error message provided when syncing?

You can download paid and free apps via the App Store application on your iPad.

You deleted the apps from iTunes on your computer - the apps are not available when selecting Apps under Library in the iTunes source list and the apps are not available under the Apps tab for your iPad sync preferences with iTunes?

I trust you've got the "Sync Apps" tab in iTunes checked as well as all the apps you want synced there. Alternately, from the App Store app on the iPad itself you can just go ahead and download any app you've already purchased. You won't be charged again as long as you're using the same account you originally bought it with.

You can also simply directly delete any apps from the iPad itself. Just touch and hold on an app's icon and in a few seconds, they'll all start wiggling and all (except originally installed apps that come with the iPad) will have a little "x" in their top left. Click the x and you'll be asked if you want to delete the app. Click the Home button to restore the icons to their normal state.

Gosh Allan. I pride myself on trying everything possible before posting support tickets. In this case, I guess I had assumed that the sync was working in general. So when I received your reply, I took a look at itunes on my desktop and saw the tabs. I went to the apps tab and low and behold, the Sync Apps was not checked. NOw, I've resync'd and MyNetDiary is now showing up on my ipad. THANKS MUCH. I did find out how to delete apps by googling the question and that worked great. thanks for your help. Much appreciated. 🙂
