AirPort suddenly not working

I have a MacBook Pro and suddenly, the AirPort has stopped working. I have a regular MacBook and the AirPort on that still functions fine. My MacBook Pro can detect our wireless network, but won't connect anymore. It says the AirPort has a self-assigned UP address, 169.254.184.239 and will not be able to connect to the internet.

I've tried rebooting computers, resetting the router, all to no avail. It will still connect if I plug it directly in using an ethernet cable tho. Any thoughts on how to fix this?

Thanks!

2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, Mac OS X (10.6.3), 4GB 1067 MHz DDR3

Check that settings are correct. Check that you haven't run out of IP addresses on your WLAN (remember to count other devices that use it, iPhones etc.).

Try a harder resetting of the router (depending on the make, disconnecting it from the mains for at least a couple of minutes may be a possibility).
