How do I delete a tab stop in Pages for iPad?

Searching the iPad > Pages subforum for "delete tab stop" doesn't turn up anything relevant, so maybe it's just me:

I've accidentally touched the ruler, and created a tab stop. I don't want that tab stop. How do I delete it?

I've tried dragging it out of the ruler up, down, and either side. It stays on the ruler. I've tried multiple-tapping. The tab stop giggles and changes shapes, none of them "nonexistent." I've tried holding down on the tab stop. Tab stop don't say nuffin.

A user interface for anything without "dungeon" in the name should make it impossible to change an on-or-off state irrevocably. That's summer-intern-level design. There has to be a way to remove a tab stop. How do you do it?

iPad WiFi 32 GB, iPhone OS 3.1.3, Actually 3.2. The pop-up hasn't caught up to April.
