Help! EXS24 Not Working Properly

I'm running logic 8. I go to use ESX24 for sampling. I go to the edit option in the top right, click it and my menu doesn't pop up. Logic crashed on this screen the other day and hit hasn't worked since...I'm new to all this and am just learning how to sample and whatnot, but I've already chopped the song in logic how I want it and don't want to have to redo it for reason. Now I can't load my samples into ESX24. And I have no idea how to transfer the chopped pieces to another program without putting them back together. Plus I still want my Logic operational for samples too. I need help...I've searched the entire web and haven't found documentation of a problem like this. Are there any options that I may have clicked in another menu that would prohibit the edit button from triggering.

Hi,

you should have asked in the Logic Pro Forum, not in the Jam Packs Forum 🙂

1. Now, does this problem persist even in other projects or just in the project you are working at? Did you try importing the song/track/whatever into another project?

2. Repair your permissions (HD Utility)

3. If the problem persists in other projects, backup and then trash the preferences of Logic. You find it in (user) /library/preferences/com.apple.logic.pro.plist. Logic will rebuild this file with standard values which may solve the problem.

4. Re-Post this question in the Logic Pro forum!
