Jul 22, 2015 11:48 PM in response to Dimos25by g-dude,This is good advice (reset router to factory settings).
I did two other things and got mine working:
1. If you are replacing a modem use a NEW NAME for the new one.
2. I had also set some static IP addresses in my Cisco DPC3848V router and noticed on my iPhone that these same IP addresses were showing up in my DNS settings (looked in the little "i" beside the network name). That seemed weird so I deleted them from my router.
I did the new name and the delete of the static IP's in one move so I don't know which one helped.

thank you so much! Weird thing is that my device works at the gym and at work, but failed to work once I got home.
Was frustrating. Thanks for the helpful post.

Dec 8, 2015 9:55 PM in response to mangufromsan franciscoby suefromburradoo,Same with my wife's iPad. Luckily I am using a PC and was able to view all the people with a similar problem. Tunnelbear was blocking the internet connection.

Apr 7, 2016 1:02 AM in response to Hsflyerby dengrainger,Hi all
Returned to my holiday apartment where my laptop, Ipad and Iphone have all worked perfectly for years connecting to my router via wifi.
Now I find that the Ipad and Iphone connect to the router ok, but no web pages will open (can't find the page / you are not connected to the server etc etc) but the laptop still works perfectly as ever...
The only thing that has occurred since I last used the Ipad and Iphone without problems here is that I upgraded the software on both last week....so, surely, the problem must relate to the software auto upgrades by Apple?
I am beginning to think I should avoid upgrading software at all until all bugs seen and fixed by Apple!
Has anyone else had this issue since last week, please, and is there any way I can 'undo' the software upgrades back to previous without losing all my data and photos etc?
As someone said above, an Ipad or Iphone that works via wifi all over the country but not in my home is hopeless!
Thanks

Apr 7, 2016 2:38 AM in response to dengraingerby dengrainger,Well well, Apologies to Apple.
I contacted Movistar (my apartment is in Tenerife) and asked them to 'resend' wifi to router, which they did, and, hey presto, all back to normal!
So to recap, my laptop worked via wifi off the router, but my Ipad and Iphone whilst 'connecting' to same wifi did NOT open web pages etc....so, can it be the 'weak' wifi signal drove the laptop ok, but not the 2 apple products properly?/ Seems very much like it..
The renewed wifi signal to the router has cured all>
Apologies again to Apple.
Hope this helps someone!
Cheers

Apr 24, 2016 5:34 AM in response to Hsflyerby Teri R.,Thank you. Rebooting my computer worked for me as well. It appears that Tunnelbear caused the issue, as my network connectivity was fine until I used it.
