Mouse Scroll stopped working after upgrading to Safari 5
My mouse trackpad scroll stopped working after upgrading to Safari 5. Everything worked fine when I was on 4.0.5, I installed 5 and it killed the scroll. I uninstalled 5 and installed 4.0.5 and it too stopped working. Everything works fine on Chrome. I uninstalled the mouse drivers and installed again and nothing helped.
upgraded to safari 5 this morning. Then Scroll up stopped working, not scroll down. Works fine still in chrome and ie etc. Did a reboot to no avail. Uninstalled 5, went back to 4, which is also now buggered. Nice one safari :o(
Anyone any idea how to fix this? I've just started using Safari on laptop as Im used to it on iphone, at this rate I'll be going back to firefox. I too can scroll down but not up in safari 5
That still doesn't work for me, I can scroll down fine but when trying to scroll up just get a little scroll bar type picture appear and nothing happens.
I too am experiencing the scroll up problem on a Tecra with a trackpad. Scrolling down is still functional, but not up - seems that the "mouse" understands its supposed to scroll up, but Safari 5 doesn't respond.
Nope, clicking the page and then trying to scroll back up isn't working (unless you want to select all objects on the page). I can only scroll down. FYI, this affects iTunes as well. You can scroll down, but you can't scroll back up.
I really hope that Apple gets their "stuff" together and fixes this A.S.A.H.P.
I thought it was a problem in the page, some times it happens with some pages, Specially FaceBook. but I open other pages and it still doesn't work... it works to scroll down, but it doesn't scroll up... I will go back to the last version until apple fix this problem. I just wanted to post that I am having this problem... I think the more people report this, the faster they will solve it
:P.
This appears to be more of a trackpad/touchpad issue than a mousewheel/scrollwheel issue. It should be mentioned again, though, that this issue also carries over to iTunes 9.
I have already reported it as a bug to Apple, but I really hope that they get this fixed A.S.A.P. This is really annoying!
I am also having this issue. Safari recognizes the click, and then does nothing. It is particularly frustrating in the top sites. Safari won't scroll either.
I have the same issue. I got Dell Inspiron 6400 laptop with Windows 7 32-bit, I updated to Safari 5 and can't scroll up. Scrolling down is ok, but scrolling up isn't working on Safari while it's working on other softwares.
I've also had the same issue with my track pad since the update to Safari 5. I see some have said they have an issue with iTunes as well, but my iTunes 9 scrolls up fine as does every other program.
By the looks of things there is no point in me changing back to Safari 4, so I also hope something is figured out soon or I'll just go back to other browsers.
