Fuzzy/pixelated screen

Hi

I have a Powerbook G4 15". It's my first mac and I don't use it much, so my knowledge/experience of them is pretty minimal.
A few minutes after it has completely started up, parts of the screen start becoming fuzzy or pixelated. It usually starts with just an icon on the desktop. If I open Safari and go to google, the google logo might be fuzzy but everything else will be fine. It slowly spreads until it's the whole screen, and then gets worse and worse until I can't read any text.
I took some pictures to give a better idea of what I mean:

Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

I actually am experiencing this same problem. I do not think that it is an issue with the monitor however.

My screen starts to do this, and then the computer freezes and a window pops up and says to hold down the power button for 10 seconds to shut down the computer. Once I restart the computer a window pops up that says the operating system unexpectedly failed. This leads me to believe it is a software problem not a monitor issue.

I tried erasing my drive and reinstalling the OS, but the problem is still there.

Sweeeede, have you figured anything out with this issue? I am desperate! I'll be sure to let you know if I figure anything new out.
