Auto correct

Settings>General>Reset>Reset Keyboard Dictionary.

You can also open up your Notes.app, type "me" 25 times, and your iPhone will "learn" it over again.

Aaaargh!!! This is one of the nits that's been driving me crazy. I'm constantly having my iPhone auto-replace me with "mr". I have attempted the suggestions on here, but so far to no avail. I reset the keyboard dictionary and I also tried typing "me" over and over in a new note. In fact, very strangely, using the note app and typing me repeatedly, I would find that it would just take "me" anywhere from 7 to 10 or so times in a row and then all of a sudden without any warning change the 11th one to "mr". It's incredibly annoying.

I guess that also has the advantage that, after typing in such words 25 times, we will also learn how to type them correctly! 🙂

I just typed me 177 times into a notes message. Auto correct would change to mr about every 8th one or so. This is after my dictionary reset btw... Took a screen shot wish I could post it lol. All work and no play...

Yes I have the same problem after the update to iOS 4!! Getting rather annoying!! And yes, I have tried typing my text/emails slowly to make sure I'm typing "me" instead of "mr" and still no change....

This is sadly depressing....

Just found a simple solution to the 'mr' nuisance

Open safari and in the search bar type the word you want to prevent autocorrect from messing with.

Eg 'Me'

Then when the autocorrect suggestion comes up (i.e. 'Mr') click the little x

You only have to do this once per word to switch off autocorrect
