"i tried same name and password in my ipod"

Double check the entry to make sure you are entering name & password correctly.

Do the following:
In the Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/ folder delete the following:

com.apple.airport.preferences.plist
NetworkInterfaces.plist
preferences.plist
com.apple.nat.plist

You will have to re-configure all your network settings since deleting"

===============================

System Preferences>Network
Click the Assist Me button.
In the next window that pops up, click the Diagnostic button & do the necessary.

Also, run the Airport Utility app which is located inside the Utilities folder.

Look inside...........

Machintosh HD>Library>Preferences>*SystemConfiguration folder*

The above is there under Tiger. I noticed you are using Snow Leopard. Use Spotlight to locate the folder if you are unable to locate. The location may be different in SL. I am not using my SL comp at the moment.

"my problem is when we are shifted to new room"

If the comp works in every room of your home except for that one room, then it would seem to me that something in the room is blocking your wireless connection. Nothing wrong w/your comp.

"i tried every thing"

Certain materials can block wireless access. Since you've +"tried everything,"+ there is noting more anyone here can do for you.
If you have not already done so, read the troubleshooting section of the manual that came w/your router for suggestions and/or contact their customer service department/website.
For WiFi, check with whoever is supplying it.

You need to spell out your problem more clearly, yvdineshkumar

Are you saying that you can't connect to the internet wirelessly only at your friends house or does the problem occur elsewhere, too?

If the problem is occurring when you are at your friend's place what sort of wireless router do they have?

Again, if the problem is happening when you are at your friend's place what happens if you choose "Join other network" from the Airport menubar item at your friends house, and then enter the name of the network and *the password for his or her network* in the relevant box that appears?

If it is happening at YOUR place, what happens if you choose "Join other network" from the menubar Airport item, and then enter your OWN network name and password?

Cheers

Rod
