Syncing iPad with Photos on a PC

My photos are stored on a NAS drive and i am running i-tunes 64bit with a pc running windows 7 professional 64 Bit.

When i try and sync my photos with the iPad (regardless if i select all or certain folders) the iPad/i-tunes says it is syncing but actually it is doing nothing. I have left it for several hours and then returned to it with the same message saying it is syncing. I then cancel with nothing having beeen loaded onto the PAD. Really annoying as one of the main reasons i bought it was for viewing my photos 😟

can anyone help !!!!!

I have just stumbled across a solution. I have moved all my photos (which are stored on a buffalo terrastation nas drive) onto my local hard disc and my photos now sync ok. This is only a work around until apple find a solution as my music which is stored on the same nas drive syncs with no problem.
