Can't delete emails on my ipad

I am still having a problem with dele emails from my iPadAir. When I go to advanced two things come up Deleted Mailbox ( which is checked) and Archive Mailbox. When I change it nothing happens.Help😱

What if the checkmark will not uncheck?

You have to make another selection for it to uncheck on the ipad. In this case, you would select "deleted messages" on the server list below it.

Incase anyone does not know when u delete emails that u do not want to delete and u cant find them go into landscape mode and you'll see on the left top says inboxes well u can not undelete the mail there so on the bottom says accounts click on whatever account u have it will show all folders then go to the trash folder and click edit then touch the email u need back click move and put it in the folder u want it in apple care and apple stores did not know how to do this and the iPad 2 books I bought for iPad 2 secrets and everything did not know but I am kinda like a person who has to figure out the way to do it when they say it can not be done so now u know I hope this helps anyone who has this problem and or keeps them from having the problem

Thanks for your clear, concise directions on how to delete email from iPad. Every message I deleted since 2010 wound up in the email file titled 'Important'. So I deleted all of them, over 1,000, only to find they had all migrated to the Inbox. That is when I read your instructions about going to Advanced, etc. I only wish I knew how to send more than one at a time to Trash.

To delete multiple emails:

in Mail click the "Edit" button, atthe top of incoming mail column

tap those emails you wish to delete to select them; a checkbox will become checked

Once you have selected all thsoe to delete, click "DELETE" (red button at bottom)

Poof! Deleted

That's still very time consuming. Apple has a "Delete All" feature in both Messages and Voicemail, when are they going to add this feature to Mail?!
