My Mac is making random animal sounds.
It would randomly crow like a rooster & recently howled.
Mac OS X (10.5.8)
Weird! Check your widgets. One of those could be the problem.

do you hear these sounds if you try to do something that isn't allowed, or if the computer needs your input, or is it totally random? if it's totally random, that's kinda cool 🙂

It seems your computer has become self-aware. Rather than become "skynet" and doom us all, it has gotten "stuck" at that lower evolutionary state. Do you notice any methane emissions from our power supply? Any additional dust around the computer?
🙂 All kidding aside.. check all your installed applications and your sound settings in OSX. Perhaps you've downloaded an animal farm theme or something similar.
