ButtonManager applications?

Ever since I upgraded to Snow Leopard (which has been awesome so far) whenever I log in, two little applications appear down in the dock and bounce for a while. They may bounce anywhere from 5 seconds to half a minute. They never actually stay static on the dock like other open apps, they just bounce and disappear. They're called N067U_ButtonManager and N124U_ButtonManager and I've traced their whereabouts to a folder called CFMSupport in my /Library folder. There are no visual cues as to what they are doing, but I know that they're doing something since they take up a good chunk of CPU while they run. Has anyone else experienced this, and is this supposed to be happening? Does anyone know what these programs do?

They are both installed by the Canoscan driver for your scanner. However, you don't need both, but they install them anyway. Stupid Canon programmers. The N067U is a LIDE 20 or N670U and the N124U is for the LIDE 30 or N1240U.

They are installed in you Login Items in the Accounts System Prefs.
You should go into you Account prefs and delete the one that is not used as it continually fills your log files with drivel about not finding the scanner that you don't own, but Canon installed the driver anyway. Just open Accounts, select your account, click on Login Items tab, select the unused button manager, and click the delete ( - ) button.
