Tab to transient question

Tab to transient question

In pro tools you can tab to transient, which means basically hitting the tab key to forward the cursor to the beginning of each new wave form. Is there anyway to do that in FCP to get the best sync points?

Sync points for WHAT? To sync multiple video clips? To sync audio from one source to sync with video from another?

Multiple video clips for now, eventually I am going to sync the multiple video clips to the audio aiff file.

Normally you'd use Timecode if all cameras were jam-synced. But other than that, how would FCP know what in the video clips to sync to?

yeah..that didn't happen. Is there a way to manually scroll through the waveform, wave by wave?

Use the scroll bar at the bottom of the window to scroll. It may help to zoom in a bit.

If you're talking about a single audio clip, you can have FCP place peak markers in the timeline, and then navigate the markers, peak for peak. If you're talking about multiple audio clips in the timeline, you can use the left/right arrows to move from clip to clip.
