DOS Mode??

Hi, I was wondering if anyone knows how to get their macbook out of DOS mode. I recently tried to download something and it says it cannot open in DOS Mode. Any help is appreciated thank you!

Macbook, Mac OS X (10.6.3)

Hi,

then the EA DL manager is an .exe file (Windows- or better MS-DOS EXEcutable file).

Such files need to be run in Microsoft Windows and can not be used in Mac OSX.

Other than installing Windows (through BootCamp or with Parallels/VMWare Fusion/VirtualBox) or using CrossOver for Mac you cannot use/run such files.

Well, that's rather interesting really. As stated, you're trying to run a Windows program, so the fact that you're getting anything at all is actually quite fascinating, unless you left you the fact that you're running Windows on your Mac. One would not expect a Windows program to run even enough to spit out a message like that under Mac OS X. The executable format is different, every API from top to bottom is different, and Mac OS X shouldn't really consider a .exe file to be an executable binary.
