duplicate calendars in Outlook

Okay, I have searched the forums for my problem and I see lots of people with issues regarding duplicate calendar entries but not my issue, an entire duplicate calendar! Once I synched, I guess it somehow created a second calendar so now every time I go into Outlook, before I make a calendar entry I have to be sure that the right calendar is checked. Only a minor inconvenience, but quite annoying! Any solutions to this? I have searched for how to delete this and see posts about deleting a duplicate calendar if you are syching with MobileMe, but that is not the case here. I am simply syncing with Outlook through iTunes. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I'm having the same issue and can't seem to figure out the problem. Most solutions suggest that the problem is syncing through MobileMe and through iTunes on the computer, but that is not causing this issue. Any suggestions would be appreciated. We now have triplicate calendars for items being updated via the iPhone. The initial color I had chosen for each calendar has now changed, and some of them have the same label (e.g., "Work" was initially purple) but have different colors now (two are blue, one is orange).

Okay, I did all that. Now I still have two calendars in Outlook on my PC and I have calendars on my iPhone. The only difference is that now I can select "All" instead of one of the two calendars that are on my iPhone. I am getting an iPhone 4 on Thursday and really want to try to get this fixed before then, but have no clue where to go! I never used Outlook on this computer until I got my iPhone, so that leaves me to believe that it was something that happened from the iPhone sych. I don't even use the email client in Outlook, just contacts and calendar.

It's fixed! Right click on the SECOND calendar in Outlook and it will let you delete it. Unfortunately that was my primary calendar, but somehow there were some items on both. Lucky for me, I've only had my phone since May 29 so I only have calendar items on it since that date. I was able to easily re-enter anything that I wanted to so no harm done. Of course, if you use this as your work calendar, that wouldn't be a good thing to do. So now I have only one calendar in Outlook, one calendar on my iPhone, and hopefully on Thursday evening will have one calendar to sync to my brand spankin' new iPhone 4! Now, when is the iOS4 going to be released so I can load that on this 3GS to play with until Thursday? LOL!
