Cann't send mail

My mail service provider recently changed outgoing mail server to "mail.hover.com". I changed my acount setup and now I cannot send mail. The connection doctor can connect to this outgoing mail server (green dot) but when sending the message I get:
" Cannot send message using Hover Outgoing Server.
Sending the message content to the server failed.

Select a different outgoing mail server from the list below or click Try Later to leave the message in your Outbox until it can be sent."

I have double checked the settings and they conform to the ones listed by the mail service provider.
Any help?

Ultimately you may need to talk to hover to have them check from the server side. In the meantime there are two things that come to mind.

I'm looking at the specific error message: "… Sending the message content to the server failed."

This says one of two things to me - one is that they're using a content filter that is rejecting your message for content issues (either it looks like spam, or a virus, or some such).
The other is a network-level error that's breaking the connection mid-stream. There are lots of things that can cause this, but the common ones tend to break any large transfers so I'd expect to see problems in other areas, too.

It should be reasonably easy to test these theories - try other email messages with short content (just a 'test message' should suffice. Try sending to other recipients (to make sure it's not a problem with the email address you're sending to).

If that doesn't work you'll probably have to talk to the mail provider for assistance since it's likely related to their server in some way.
