Question

how to import videos from my SONY DSC-H20 camera to my ipad.

I'm setting out on a 3 month bike trip as a fundraiser (www.bikeformima.org) and wanted to be able to update my website with images and video "from the trail". So I bought the ipad because it's light, 10 hr. battery and I'm a MAC guy. But alas...images import to the photos app. but videos won't.

Should I be importing them to ipad via another application or will it be "images only" for my website viewers?!

Any insights will be greatly appreciated. Also, whats the best photo-editing app out there?

There are a number of threads discussing importing videos using the Camera Connector Kit. Basically, some video formats and containers work, others don't. If your camera has multiple options, try them. At least one thread was trying to build a list of cameras that work. Videos from my Canon SD1100 IS do work, but it's largely camera specific. One person said that motion JPEG worked but another format on his camera did not.

I am having the same dilemma with a sony dsc hx5. I am recording in mpeg4 but no luck

I can solve your other question though. Photogene is an iPad photo editor that I downloaded which seems quite good.
