Netflix buffering

If one pauses a movie on netflix, does the streaming vid continue to load so that it can be watched without further buffering interruptions once play is resumed?
This question is primarily related to 3G access but I imagine it would apply to slower wifi also.

It doesn't appear to continue to load on a Mac/PC when paused 😟.

I know. I've been a bit disappointed in Netflix streaming lately. The image quality has been poor 😟.

Abc streams quite nicely here, at least... This also means my 3G is capable of it.
