Will Apple take commission for Free App?

Would like to make a free Iphone app on appstore, do I need to give commission to Apple? I know they take 30% commission for paid apps.
Thanks

No - commission is only paid for commercial apps. Apart from the annual developer fee (£59/$99) free apps are not subject to any further charges (at least not from Apple). Of course you might incur further costs (such as server fees) depending on the nature of your application.

If your app features in-app purchases, then yes, 30% of this is paid to Apple.
