Someone please help me. I'm not a computer guru, and I am so lost. I was using the original iPhoto program that came on my computer in 2005, I then upgraded to the iPhoto 09, and since loading it when I try to load pictures from my camera it tells me that "iPhoto cannot import your photos to this library because iPhoto cannot access the library. Please repair your iPhoto library's permissions." I have checked the permissions and everything looks like it supposed to, according to everything I've read. Can someone please guide me in the right direction to fix this problem?! Thank you so much.
Thanks for responding. I've tried what you suggested multiple times. It continues to tell me that, "iPhoto cannot import your photos.....repair iPhoto permissions."
Larry, sorry to be a pest but I'm no computer guru... so can you give me the run down on how to do this correctly? I'm seeing all my photos in the time machine back up, so do I just uninstall?
Any luck with this? I get the same error, but in a different situation:
I have on old iMac running Tiger Server, it has an external drive with my iPhoto databases on it. I can open these databases, I can view these databases, but I cannon import to these databases. Anyone know what up?
Seem to have resolved the problem - the disk with the databases on it needs to have "ignore ownership" checked. Dunno what implications this hase for user folders on the same disk though. Probably a question for the server forum.
