Dec 16, 2013 10:51 AM in response to nomadderby psmyth, nomadder, if you find any other crashes, call AppleCare and talk to a senior advisor. Restores and even replacements won't fix anything. My senior advisor say the engineers are working on a fix.
Th common thread is iOS 7, not iPad airs.
It's complicated, but we'll see a fix.
iPads are great devices. Enjoy..

Dec 22, 2013 3:05 PM in response to Rob Bruenby brycenesbitt,The frustrating part about this thread is that it's clear there's no good mechanism for Apple to even notice and respond to crashes that affect tens of thousands of users.
Here's a small example: I get complaints that "my website" crashes when pinch-zoomed on an "iPad". As if that's my fault rather than Apple. To see this in action, grab any iPad (1, 2, retina, air) and pinch zoom from the home page of: http://obviously.com/

Dec 22, 2013 7:32 PM in response to brycenesbittby Mr.Eee,Tested your page on my iPad Air iOS 7.04 and pinch to zoom and when backing out crashes, every time.
Tried your site on my Android tablet running Jelly Bean 4.2.2 tried both the default browser and Google Chrome browser, zooms in and out ...no problems.

Dec 24, 2013 10:05 PM in response to Rob Bruenby Itsguy,Safari crashes ALL THE TIME on my iPad 1. If they don't fix this issue, my next tablet will NOT be an apple. All I need is email and Internet browsing. Any non-apple product will suffice. This is shameful of Apple to treat their customers with such contempt. Acknowledge and fix the **** problem Apple! I just love how they stop all support for their product after a few years. Definitely not a good way to persuade me to purchase another Apple product!!!

Dec 24, 2013 10:08 PM in response to Applecrash3by Itsguy,I tried Puffin. Was lightning fast and stable at first, now it crashes as much as Safari and is just as slow.

Dec 24, 2013 11:14 PM in response to Tinchoteby Mr.Eee,Same here, I had a Samsung Tab 2. 7" but don't care for 'mini" screens, just got the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 and it's nice to browse error free, and more importantly shop without the browser crashing, it happen mid-purchase on my iPad Air and my transaction was missing from the vendors cart, but third-party billing had billed me anyway, I had to make phone calls, the vendor said they had no record of my purchase and agreed to reverse the charge. And I had to make the purchase again later on the desktop.
I love the size, screen, feel and battery life of the iPad Air, and I was hoping Apple would address this issue in a timely manner but they haven't, and the iPad Air is just too unreliable for transactions that I can't trust using it, I may stick with the Samsung and just give-up and return the iPad Air. I had talked to a Guinness and explained it's continued crashing, they wanted to swap it out but other that have say it's still happening, they advised to reset as new and all the things I'd already done, so he told me I can return it ...so I think that 's what I will do.

Dec 25, 2013 6:42 AM in response to Rob Bruenby Avio1977,I recently purchased the ipad air. That's my first apple product ever. I must say I am completely disappointed with this whole safari crash issue which I also experience. It's completely ridiculous that even the apple site sometimes crashes with an apple product! I don't know if I have to cry or laugh. Anyway what I do know is that unless apple fixes this REALLY fast, and I mean really really fast, then I won't every purchase another apple product. The reason we get an ipad is to primarily surf the web easily and not being into constant worry, whether safari will crash or not. I experience at least 5-6 crashes everyday and that's with moderate usage. That's totally unacceptable. Apple do what you have to do right away!

Dec 25, 2013 7:49 AM in response to Avio1977by Suissejas,What will it take for ALL you people to realise that Apple will do NOTHING repeat NOTHING to fix this.Wake up to the way they do business....Merry Xmas !!

Dec 25, 2013 11:57 AM in response to Suissejasby Itsguy,Oh, I'm sure no one's under the delusion that Apple's going to fix the issue, not after this long at least. It's a shame too, I have a perfectly good iPad that works except for the constantly crashing browser.
