Q: iPad Safari crashing regularly

Safari on my iPad is crashing fairly frequently; sometimes when I restart it retains the pages that were previously open, and sometimes not.

Have not yet established a pattern, but it seems prevalent on very large pages (for example pages with many images) and on pages with embedded video (particularly Flash).

Anyone else experiencing the same issue and/or have any further information? Anybody using a browser other than Safari on the iPad?

Mac OS X (10.5.1)

I'm no fan of Samsung, but honestly, since they build many (most?) of the components for the iPad, I'd expect the quality of their own devices to be similar or better.

the reboot problem at least has been acknowledged by apple, and a fix is coming. (I forget the source.)

what generation of ipad do you have? have you considered turning off safari in icloud settings page, clearing cache and cookies, and turning safari for icloud back on again.

We removed your post Shame on you Apple ,millions of ipad users have the same problem of safari crash on ios 7.0.4!!! because it contained rants or complaints that weren’t constructive. We understand wanting to share experiences, but these forums are meant for technical questions that can be answered by the community.

    It's a shame!

Of course our rants and complaints are not constructive, because not a single individual in this forum is responsible for marketing Safari.

I too have had many crashes on my iPad 2. The Genious Bar has not been helpful at all... I've always been a huge fan of Apple but I swithed my iPhone for the new Samsung 4s and I'm letting go of my ipad too... I have lost confidence in Apple and its ability to service me as a valued customer. The only way I can show my displeasure with Apple is to spend my money with another company.

The people from 2010/original iPad owners no longer exist in Apple's eyes or thoughts.  We are dirt to them!

This problem isn't as complicated as it seems..... Just use a different browser until ios 7.1 comes out I've been using chrome. Not only is a better browser it doesn't crash. If you don't like google there is plenty of options out there. I have the 64gb ipad air lte. It's the best tablet out there. Coming from owing a surface nexus and a galaxy tab. Android and windows have A LOOOOOOOONG way to come. Stop saying the ipad is a piece of crap why would you keep buying apple products if you really believed that.

You'll miss your iphone soon enough. I had the s4 for long time. I couldn't stand the bloat ware on it. It will eventually slow your phone down.
