Does Anyone Know How to Reset FCP to factory settings?

When i click capture now, pop up says::

The current Capture Scratch drive(s) are too full. Please remove files from these drives or select a new capture scratch location.

ive got less than 50G of video on my internal hardrive so theres more than enough memory to capture more footage. Ive tried to setting the scratch disk to an external HDD but nothing has change.

HELP SOMEBODY, I HAVE SO MUCH WORK TO DO...

What version of FCP? On some older versions, unless there is a capture now limit set, the app has no idea how much video you want to capture. Since, for all it knows, you might want to do a continuous 20 hour capture, it tells you there's not enough room.

im using the 6.0 studio 2... Ive never had this problem before. I have checked all the necessary settings which have not been changed for a very long while, i dont have a capture limit. I will be capturing 30mins.

Could it be possible for a software to become corrupt?

You should not be capturing to your boot drive.

Use a dedicated external FW800 drive to capture to.

Yes ive got 3 EX HDD ive tried them ALL to no avail.. It doesnt even begin the capture process.. I beleive its a setting in the software itself.. But ive tried them ALL!!!! >:-(

Open a Finder window. Set the view mode to columns:

Click the house icon that has your name next to it.
Click the folder "Library" in the next column.
Find and click the folder "Preferences" in the next column.
Find and click the folder "Final Cut Pro User Data" in the next column.

Move the files "Final Cut Pro 6.0 Prefs", "Final Cut Pro Obj Cache" and "Final Cut Pro Prof Cache" to the Trash and empty it.
