80GB Classic not restoring, error code 1439

My IPOD was working fine yesterday and I connected it to my comp. to sync and Itunes stated that my IPOD was corrupt and I needed to restore my IPOD. So I opted to do so, and now I am getting an error code 1439 and my IPOD will not restore, it will not turn on, it is not doing ANYTHING now. Does anyone know what I need to do? Please help!

make sure your ipod is not connected through a USB hub. Connect it directly.

I've had the same issue and have tried every solution in support it has taken me several hours and no resolution. I've tried two separate computers with both XP and Vista OS's.

the error can mean 1 or many things. hopefully its just a software issue or hardware issue other than the ipod itself such as the computer or cable. here is a good tutorial video i found on how to possibly fix it.
