Question

Having trouble with captcha images ... always wrong

Anyone else having this problem? I can't get into any site that requires Captcha-like image verification. I'm always getting a error that what I'm typing isn't matching the image. After 20 different images, I'm pretty sure it's not user error.

8-Core 2.93GHz Nehalem Mac Pro, 24GB RAM, Dual Velociraptor RAID, ATI 4870, Mac OS X (10.6.3)

HI,

I did too.. last night a couple times.

Try deleting cookies for any site that requires image verification.

From the Safari Menu Bar click Safari/Preferences then select the Security tab. Click, "Show Cookies". Delete any image verification site related cookies. Then select the Autofill tab from the Preferences pane, click the Edit button next to, "Other forms". Delete any site related url's, click Done.

Relaunch Safari.

If you still have problems, go to ~/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari/

Move the "cache.db" file to the Trash. Relaunch Safari and try an image verification site.

I deleted history and cookies on my iPad and was able to get through Captcha

Really? Because one browser doesn't work in a particular situation?

The captcha sites work fine with Chrome or Firefox.

I have the same problem. Tried everything: deleting cookies, caches, removing all the extensions. Nothing helps. Anyone got a solution?

I know this is an old thread, but I am having the same problem and cant find ANY info on why or how to solve this - I can't do anything that requires image verification or captcha on my iPad which is ANNOYING to say the least.... Anyone have any ideas beyond deleting cookies? Tried, didn't help

having the same problem since java update. It tells me corrupt xml? I am ready to give up on apple and go back to windows
