Q: Connecting PC users to a mac mini server

What are the instructions for connecting a PC to a mac mini server? I've tried setting up a new network etc.. but keep getting an error

Mac OS X (10.5.8)

What is the PC OS you are using? and have you setup SMB file sharing on the Mac mini server?
