Application do not work since last update

Hi, since I did last update two day ago, half of my application do not work. Ex: when I try to open msn or firefox, they are jumping two times and do not open. They stop jumping on my dock and than nothing!!! I restarted many time, I repaired permission in disk utility, I did a "zapper pram". Is anybody have the same problem? Limewire is working, calculator, so some application are working, but not firefox, safari, msn.... and many more.
Can you help, I don't know what to do.

What update?

Make sure you are using the latest versions of all the apps you are having problems with.

Since repairing permissions did not work, boot up from your install DVD and run *"Repair Disc"* from the Utility menu.
When done, boot back to your desktop & repair permissions.
