10.6.4 and Quicken Essentials 2010

Just updated to 10.6.4 and now my Quicken Essentials for Mac 2010 has suddenly stopped working...will not download transactions from any accounts. NOT happy about this. How do I trash this and revert to 10.6.3. From what I'm reading, this update is junk...steer clear.

21.5 iMac, Mac OS X (10.6.3), OS is actually 10.6.4...(wasn't on list yet)

Thank God I thought it was just me. Sixteen years using Apple and this is the first time I have any trouble with an OS update. First I had errors installing 10.6.4, then Quicken Essentials would not download my banks transactions either which is obviously a little disheartening. Gladly, in a weird way, other people having problems makes me feel a little better. The problem should be fixed since it it out there.
Quicken Essentials just hangs and then times out. This morning it could not even connect to my banks

actually, i have finally gotten quicken 2010 to work properly again (i hope!) though not sure how or why. was attempting to restore to 10.3 as allan suggested (thanks, allan) but ran into problems w/ that. then i couldn't empty my trash. did a google on error code (8003) and did a "safe reboot" as follows: shut down mac, waited 30 seconds, restarted while holding down left shift key until after apple logo and spinning ball appeared, after which i had to re-login. still had some problems emptying all trash at first but finally got it all emptied. have restarted several times today btw. went back to quicken afterwards and suddenly it's working properly again though at first i had to re-enter password to re-connect. so there's hope. 🙂 try rebooting in safe mode and see if that helps. but again, i have no idea if that's really what solved the issue. this is strange but good luck!

ok so after i posted the above i restarted my computer, after which suddenly quicken failed on download attempts again. (initially it just wouldn't respond at all to download requests.) this led me to think quicken would only work properly when booted in safe mode, but after restarting yet again, suddenly quicken is working properly again. so perhaps a safe reboot followed by several restarts is the answer? have no idea...though perhaps at least some clues are emerging...strange to say the least!

*So is 10.6.4 a piece of junk and everyone should "steer clear" like you say?*

Please let everyone know more about this.
