I don't know who told you that, but Microsoft has never said anything about a version of Word or Excel for the iPad. I would be very surprised if they ever do come out with one, though one can never be sure.

There are, however, a number of apps that can read Word and Excel documents, including Pages for iPad and Numbers for iPad, both from Apple, and some that can read and write Word and Excel formats, Documents To Go being one commonly mentioned. For other options, search this forum for "microsoft" or "excel".

Regards.

Docs to go is great. At first I was taken back by the price ($11.99 on sale) since I am used to ipod touch pricing for apps... However, this works well and I love the ability to open files from email or cloud computing such as drop box. Although the ppt program isn't supposed to be that robust, words and excel work well. Quick Office was also released for the iPad. I believe it is also $11.99. I typically don't like to have two apps that do the same thing and so far I am not convinced that it's any better than Docs to Go.

Need some help, here is the situation, since Numbers cannot performe with drop-down list such as Excel does, I did the "programing" with a PC Excel, sent it to my Ipad where additionally to Numbers I do have the Documents to go application that has Excel, but it doesn´t read the dropdown list, why does this happen? is drop down not supported? do I need to reprogram? is there another programing?

thanks
