Is there anychance that if you've ordered your iphone 4 for delivery it might come early? I know that some stores already have the phones in stock.

Probably not. Apple usually have agreements with delivery companies to only deliver on the advertised availability date. Having said that, I am aware some people did get their phones a day earlier than anticipated in previous years.

It certainly won't come before June 24.

I'm pretty sure they don't. In the past, the new iPhones were delivered to the stores a day or two before release.

What I'm worried about is what might happen if a meteor strikes the local Apple store the night before launch day and I have to drive across town to the other Apple store only to find out that the phone I had reserved at the other store isn't available here unless I take it in white, which I hate, white being so like 1999 South Beach trendy, and then there are these people in line who are really, like, you know, jealous or what-ever about me getting what they thought was going to be their special white iPhone 4, so they go all emo and agro and what-ever. . .
This is incredible.

This actually did happen once when I was on another planet.
Yes, if there were a "like" button, I would have pressed it!!!! Ha ha. That was really funny!!! Plus, I DO know exactly what you are talking about with people in line getting all "what did you get" "is it better than what I got"?
Anyway, NO the release date is the release date if that is the original question. As far as delivering early, I heard the 24th might not be made. Anyone who didn't get in on the 24th delivery date MAY get theirs before the "quoted" date Apple gives you in the "order status" results. I got my ipad 2 days before the actual date given on their site under "order status".

My iPad arrived the day before it's scheduled delivery day, as did a lot of other people's.
So, there's always a chance, but you're not going to know until/unless it happens.

GatorsFan....Haha! Wow, that's just great! lol
I think we need a 'like' button, because I laughed really hard. xD
Today's delivery companies (FedEx, UPS, etc) generally send out e-mails when the product's ready to ship, with a link the parties involved can use to track delivery progress. I'm sure this will be the case with the Apple iPhone 4.
Here's the real deal: The phone will get there the day Apple said it will. If not, it won't. That's the bottom line: it will, or it won't. Point is, all the worrying in the world won't affect it one way or the other.

Any chance it might come early?
