iBooks 1.1?

...from the iTunes 9.2 support document.

"Organize and sync PDF documents as books. Read PDFs with iBooks 1.1 on iPad..."

I take it that version 1.1 hasn't been released yet? It's not showing up here.

Not released yet that I can find. The current version as reported by iTunes is 1.0.1.

What a tease. I updated to the new iTunes yesterday expecting to read PDFs on my iPad today. No such luck.

You could buy an app such as GoodReader (99 cents). and have the ability to upload you pdf's via your wifi or from your iDisk (if you have one) then you don't have to sync all the time to transfer your pdf's to your iPad.

An Apple guy @ 5th Ave Apple Store told me, the iBooks 1.1 comes with the release of the new iOS 4. This is not going to be for the iPad he says. iPad iOS 4 is going to come out in August he said. Hopefully they release iBooks 1.1 for iPad earlier than that. I am waiting. And YES, I already have this GoodReader.

According to what Apple said, iOS4 for the iPad won't be out until Fall which would be Oct/Nov/Dec.

I'm pretty sure iBooks 1.1 will be released this Monday when iOS 4 comes out for iPhone. Also I'm sure it will be a universal app that you only have to download one of them and it works for iPad and iPhone.
