Are we supposed to be able to access Me.com thru our iPads?

It looks like they've change the site again. They are trying to tell you that you should be using apps to do everything the site would do on a computer.

It's the same approach as the iPhone I'm afarid in that to access the various components of MobileMe you have to use the various apps. The apps work pretty well, however, I found it frustrating that I couldn't e-mail files stored in iDisk. The solution was to get Documents to Go which then allows you to interface through it to iDisk and then e-mail.

When I use somebody else iPad, I simply cannot check my emails on me.com as I am always directed to the set up and install apps page and this is very frustrating!!!

Is there any way to avoid this page and go to my emails anyway when using a public iPad?!!???

Am I the only guy having this kind of situation?

I can't wait until Apple releases an iPad version of iDisk, and Gallery. Those are very much needed applications. Especially the Gallery.

No there isn't, and no you're not the only only one. Everyone is in the same boat.
This (and no iPad Gallery app) is something that Apple must sort out soon.

Have you tried other browsers like iCab and Opera as well?

Me alegedly is only recommended to use Safari or Firefox. When you try to use another browser you get a warning which with Opera on an iPad if you click through it just gives you the same warning!

Using iCab I am able to log into mobileme mail and read messages. Replying/composing does not work however.

I'm not sure if I reading these posts correctly but there is a "Gallary" app for the iPad.
also" iDisk" . No, you cannot get to Me.com thur Safari but you can use "Perfect Web Browser"
I found its very easy and lots of features. Its a $2.99 buy.
There are also other free browser out in the app store.

I just tried it on my iPhone 3G with iOS4 with Opera mini app. I am able to login without issue. It doesn't work well on the little screen. Give that a shot on the iPad, it may work....I don't have one....YET.

The iPad browser Expedition also works.... I got Expedition in order to be able to project webpages using the VGA adapter when I'm teaching, but it works to log into MobileMe as well.

There is no Gallery app for the iPad, only for the iPhone. Using that on the iPad is very poor for looking at photos.
As far as MobileMe mail is concerned, I have tried Safari and Atomic and they don't work at all. I have also tried iCab, and it is able to read mail but not write or send.
Haven't tried Perfect - has anyone got that to work on the iPad?
kworley: I've never heard of Expedition and can't see it in the app store.
Edit: I see Expedition now on the app store. A few minutes ago, I typed in 'Expedition' in the search and nothing came up, but now it does! Weird. Does it allow you to write/send mails, and not just login?

There are 2 Gallery apps. MyGallery and MobileMe Gallery. Yes, it is a app for all of the
products (iPhone,iTouch and iPad). I'm not having any quality problems at all. If I view
from my MacBook looks the same. Try looking at the way the iPad is set up for
resolutions that may help.
You are not using the mail program that iPad provided?
Why, just set up mail in it and it will work. I have MobileMe mail, Road Runner, and AOL all coming in the mail program.

If you can't get MobilMe on any of the browsers you have tried and mail program is not working to your liking, next step would be to call Apple Care.. Good Luck

You are missing the point. For various reasons, such as letting different family members access their own email accounts privately, some users want to use MobileMe (or some other kind of) webmail instead of the Mail app. It's not possible, and that is a major reason why people complain here about access to MobileMe.

Do we feel that the me.com problem is by design from Apple, or is it a bug?
It seems strange that some browsers go further than others, does it not?
