With my Intel iMac (purchased July 2009), what version of Windows 7 should I get, 32-bit or 64-bit (or are both types included the same package)?

iMac, 20", 2.66 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, Mac OS X (10.6.3), 2 GB RAM (soon to install 4 GB), 320 GB HD, 8x dual layer Super Drive

only the full retail package of Windows 7 contains both the 32-bit and the 64-bit version.
But you are only allowed/able to install one of it at a time with the provided license key.

The OEM/SystemBuilder versions of Windows 7 contain only 32-bit or 64-bit depending on what you buy.

Personally I would suggest to get the 64-bit version unless the Windows programs you wanna use are not fully 64-bit compatible (there are still some...).

Although with your RAM (now and later) the 32-bit version would suffice.
But who knows how much RAM you will in one year

Thank you Fortuny. That also clarifies the issue of which Windows 7 packages are 32-bit/64-bit.
